the encouragement and support from our Management, Mathematics Day was
celebrated by PG& Research
Department of Mathematics on 22nd December 2021. It was in recognition of Indian
Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s contribution to mathematics, the Government
of India decided to celebrate his birthday as the National Mathematics Day. Dr. K. Palani, Head&
Associate Professor of Mathematics welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr.N. Meenakumari felicitated the
Programme. Prof. N. Savithri,
Principal(Retd), V.O.C. Education College, Head & Professor (Retd), A. P.
C. Mahalaxmi college for Women, Thoothukudi was delivered a talk through Google
Meet platform. 10 Faculty Members,92
Students and 40 Alumnae were participated in this programme. Our Math Family working in various
fields in the different regions enthusiastically joined this program. The event
was stimulating and enjoyable and simultaneously profitable as all members
shared their views ideate and good numbers of new ideas, information and
insights came up. They also recollected their Golden College days. The Program
ended with the Vote of Thanks given by Ms.
Deebikaa, of II B. Sc. Mathematics , Secretary ,Maths Association.
